Pinup | Miss Dezi Divine
I had the opportunity to work with an up and coming pinup model, Miss Dezi Divine. Thanks again to the fabulous Cortney for hair and makeup! We had a fun day of pampering and dress up. Can you believe this woman has two small children? She is loving the pinup life and hopefully she will go far in her newfound love.

Fine Art Friday Spotlight | Alexia Sinclair
I have been wanting to spotlight some amazing fine artists and it never worked out that I could get it finished by Friday until now.
I have a lot of photographers, illustrators, painters, film makers, clothing designers, etc that inspire me and I want to share them with you. Art heals my soul and I feel like there is an artist that can speak to each and every one of us.
I have to share this first because she is the main inspiration for me to take this path. I was in class learning about composites in depth and we were sharing different composite artists. Someone mentioned Alexia Sinclair. I immediately went to her website and was in awe. At the time I did not want to do composites at all. I thought I wanted to pursue a career in retail photography like, family portraits, senior portraits and weddings. I thought I would do the occasional personal project to keep myself happy. Once I saw Alexia's work I thought of some of the personal projects that I wanted to do and I realized I can do that full time and be happy all of the time. I wanted to be a fine artist. I still thought I would do retail photography until I could afford to do my fine art projects.
Well, I then thought about fine art all the time. I thought about all of the pieces I wanted to create. I started doing some research. And now I am doing it! We shall see where it goes from here.
Okay, enough about me, I want you to get to know Alexia Sinclair. She is in Sydney, Australia. She received a BFA and an MFA degree. She majored in photography and sculpture. She basically had to teach herself how to digitally manipulate her photos and she is phenomenal.
When I first knew of Alexia Sinclair she had released the Regal Twelve series and was working on the Royal Dozen series. She now has a few more series one being A Frozen Tale which is amazing!
She has won awards for her art and has shown in galleries all over the world. ALL of her work is breathtaking and really, just amazing but I picked just a few to show you here. You will have to go to her website to view the rest. Trust me, you will not be sorry you did!
Both of the pieces above are in her Regal Twelve series. The image below is from her A Frozen Tale series.

Glamour Rock | Rock Star
Back in November I got to do two photo shoots in one day, glamour rock and hard rock. The link to the other Rock Star shoot is here. It has taken me a while to get these images up for several reasons but one was I didn't have all the elements nor the time. Since this was a personal project and clients and life happened, it just had to wait... until now! I am happy to announce Deziree as our diva!
Thank you to Cortney for the amazing job on hair and makeup! Also a big thank you to Lyn for assisting!

This image is the one I envisioned for this shoot. I drew this up before I knew that she owned a dress identical to it! It was meant to be. :)
Christine | Beauty
beau·ty
[byoo-tee]
noun, plural beau·ties.
1.
Everyone deserves to feel beautiful because everyone is beautiful. Everyone had a quality or qualities that are beautiful. I like to focus on those. We all have flaws but no one needs to dwell on them, especially ourselves. We often spend too much time worrying about our flaws that we forget about our strengths.
January 16th I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing the gorgeous Christine as a surprise for her husband for Valentine's Day. I will only share with you a select few that are appropriate for viewers other than her husband. ;)
These 4 shots were all done with natural light inside my living room. I love shadows as it gives dimension and depth to images. I wanted to make sure we got a nicely lit face with soft shadows.
We hit it off pretty quick and had a great time. We ended up shooting longer than we planned because we were having fun. We looked at the clock and went, "Whoops!" :)

A Tribute to Newborns and Babies
I am currently going through all of my newborn props and photos because I am, sadly, selling all of my props. As I went through all of the adorable sleeping babies I thought I would shake things up a bit and throw in a BUNCH of adorable baby photos in the middle of my long drawn out posts about my journey that has very few photos...yet. ;)
This was my very first one year old that I had the privilege of photographing. Caydence. Isn't she just the sweetest thing? She was blowing kisses, dancing and laughing the whole time.
This was my very first newborn session. My daughter, Abby. My nieces helped me by spotting her on the bench and holding the reflector.
Since we are on the subject of my daughter I took... several more pictures of her...
Here is 7 months.
Here she is at 9 months with her daddy.
Here she is at 14 months
This is my second newborn session with miss Haley
Here is Chase just one week old.
I was able to photograph this little cutie from maternity to one year. This is Emily's newborn images.
Baby number two for me, was a poser... ;) My son, Wee Liam.
Newborn Maddison was bright eyed for this session. She also was the first one to get to test out the giant tea cup. Adorable.
Christine at 4 days old. We spent the entire session posing her and then stepping back and gushing about how cute she was. :)
My last Newborn session was with Ainsley. She was so good the entire time. Seriously, some newborn sessions take 6 hours but she let us crank it out in 45 minutes.

My second one year old session was with sweet Rachel. We did a lot of running around the yard. ;)
and then with Daddy.

Newborn Jacob was a challenge. Poor baby was not very happy to be naked and photographed but I did manage to snag some sweet ones. He did not want to pose, so we just let him be.
This was a fun one! 10 babies in total, and all were happy!
Elliot just starting to attempt standing.
