Ode to Mothers

There are quite a few projects that I am working on.  My journey into fine art has not stopped even though I am not blogging it all at this time.  I have a series of photos that I need to polish before I approach a gallery and share with the world.  It's been a few years in the making.  In the meantime I have smaller projects, one that is ready to share!

A new series I am working on that I want to share with you now is titled "Ode to Mothers."  It is not complete but I have 4 pieces that I am ready to share!

I am currently looking for models... mothers with 1, 2, 4, 5, 6+ children.  I have plenty of 3's! ;)  I am also looking for cultural and ethnic diversity.  I want to represent as many mothers as I can!

Babies in the springtime!

I normally do not photograph babies but with the birth of two nephews last year I felt that I really wanted to spend more time with sweet babies!  I thoroughly enjoyed myself even though it was a lot of work!  Look at these sweet faces!  I melt every time I look at them. :)

I really love this family!  You may remember them from last year.  We tried a new location and chased the sun but we got it!

These two just got married today!  

This was a personal art project that I have been wanting to do all year!  As soon as I heard that these two were engaged I grabbed them for a photo op.  Thank you to Lisa from the watermelon stand.com for letting us use her property (and to her husband and son for getting me electricity to the lake!).  And thank you to Laura Porter for the fabulous hair!

Miranda, you are so quiet and yet so photogenic!  You are beautiful inside and out, and i mean it!  You are so sweet and are always smiling, kind and polite.  I really love your entire family.  Shawn, I only just met you but you are an impressive young gentleman and very kind and courteous.  Thank you both for coming!  Congratulations! 

 

Rowlett Family

This family came to me because they just got news that their dear pooch has cancer. They wanted to immortalize her in photographs.

So we took some of the whole family.  I love this family!  They just happen to be our neighbors and dear friends.  I've had the privilege of photographing them twice before.
